Football wins 1st district game ever 11/13/12 - Boys Football Vanguard VB 28 - Summit Christian 26 The Vanguard Varsity Football team finished the year with their first ever District win, beating Summit Christian 28-26 on Friday night. The win moves the Vikings record to 3-7 and 1-4 in District. The Vikings were led offensively by Adnan Razzaq with over 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Adel Razzaq and Matthew Bailey also scored rushing touchdowns in the effort. Defensively the Razzaq brothers each tallied 10 tackles, with Adnan adding an interception. Mirko Murrilo also had an interceptionand John Copeland forced a key fumble in the fourth quarter, turning momentum in favor of the Vikings. Congratulations to all of the players on a very successful year and thanks to the Seniors for all of their effort.
